                   Welcome to William E. Waters Middle School!

William E. Waters Middle School Mission Statement:
To engage students in active learning, to assist students in the preparation of postsecondary endeavors, and to ensure that students develop a willingness to explore ideas and become responsible citizens in today's global society. 

William E. Waters Middle School Vision Statement:
To allow students to excel in all of their endeavors by developing an educational environment that will help transform their lives and create a positive impact on the "Cavalier" community. 







 




 All parents are encouraged to purchase a yearbook for students this year.  The cost is $20.00 for a softcover and $25.00 for a hardcover yearbook.  Payments are due in March.  Yearbooks will be available in May.

May 18-19: English 8 Reading
May 20: Reading Make-ups
May 23-24: Math 7
May 25-26: Math 8
May 27: Math Make-ups
May 31: Algebra I & Geometry
June 1: Civics 8
June 2-3: Civics/Economics Make-ups
June 6-7: Science 8
June 8: Reading Expedited Retakes
June 9: Math Expedited Retakes
June 10: Civics Expedited Retakes
June 13: Science 8, Algebra I & Geometry Expedited Retakes

Test-taking Tips:
1. Review your study guide packets daily.
2. Get plenty of rest the night before.
3. Eat breakfast the day of your test!
4. Arrive at school on time the day of your test.
5. Don't stress!
6. Take your time.  Read each question thoroughly.
7. Remain CONFIDENT!  BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!
